Kathleen Arslanian

LYNN - Kathleen A. (Hines) Arslanian, age 87, died peacefully in her sleep after a lengthy illness, on the morning of December 7th. She was the daughter of John P. and Lillian (Meade) Hines. She is predeceased by her husband Peter, with whom she shared 51 years of marriage. She is survived by her brother, John F. Hines, and her brother-in-law, Oscar Arslanian, as well as dozens of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A life-long Lynner, Kay was very proud to be a graduate of St. Mary’s Girls High School, class of 1949. Kay then went on to work for the Department of Welfare for over 40 years. Kay and Peter loved to travel, and in fact visited many countries over the years. During their retirement years, Kay and Peter wintered in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida where they made many special friends. Kay especially loved to entertain during the holidays.

Kay was also predeceased by her brothers Thomas Hines, Joseph Hines, and her sisters, Dorothy McHale and Lucille Hines. They family would like to extend a special thank you for the exceptional care Kay received from the home health care workers who became family to her.

Kay’s Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 10th, at 12:00 p.m. noon at the CUFFE-McGINN Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Lynn. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service on Monday, December 10th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
