Kathryn M. Smith Logue

She was the wife of William V. Logue, Jr., with whom she shared 48 years of marriage.

The daughter of the late Russell and Catherine M. (Randall) Smith, she grew up in Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School. She lived in Lynn for the past 40 years.

For 20 years she worked in the Elections Office at Lynn City Hall.

She and her husband were foster care providers for over 30 years for the Northeast Animal Shelter in Salem.

In addition to her husband, she leaves her children Lisa Logue of Londonderry, NH, William V. Logue, III of Londonderry, NH, and Jo-Ann Logue of Lynn; two sisters Susanne Walsh and Patty Pike both of Melrose, and a brother Robert Smith of Bremerton, WA. She was also the aunt of Christopher and Kevin Walsh, Russell and Thomas Pike all of Melrose, Diane Griggers of Malden, Annie Smith of Bremerton, WA, Ritchie Sergi of Lynn, Stephen Sergi of NH and Bobby Sergi of Everett. She was the grandmother of the late William V. Logue, IV, and sister of the late Judy Sergi and Beverly Griggers. Aunt of the late Debra Griggers.

The funeral will be held on Friday at 9AM from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn, followed by a Graveside Service in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn at 10AM. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 PM. Donations in her memory may be made to the Northeast Animal Shelter, 347 Highland Avenue, Salem, MA 01970.
