He was the loving father of Donna Davis of Lynn, Kenny Davis of Danvers, Chararose Davis of Salem, and Shawna Davis of Boxford; the cherished grandfather of Caitlyn, Jacqueline, Melina, Gabrielle, Dustin, Dylan, Leah, Davontae, Gregory, George, Gabriel, Geoffrey, Gunnar, Maximus, Shanay, Hailey, Nayeli and 3 great-grandchildren; the dear brother of Ora Mascinanti of Woburn, Peter Davis of Billerica, William Davis of Danvers, Michael Davis of Danvers, Cynthia Tivnan of Beverly, Mary Katherine “Kate” Svoboda of Danvers and Karen Graser of New Hampshire; and the uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Ken graduated from Salem High School with the Class of ’67 and trained with the US Army during the Vietnam War. Later, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree at North Shore Community College. He was a registered nurse and worked at Magoun Manor Nursing Home in Medford for many years prior to his retirement. Prior to earning his nursing degree, Ken worked as a steeple jack in the area for several years. Ken enjoyed reading, writing poetry and walking along the beach at Red Rock Park, Lynn Shore, Swampscott and Nahant. Ken was also an active member of the Washington Street Baptist Church in Lynn.
Services are private and are under the care of the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home Lynn. The family would like to extend its heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Bridgewell for the compassionate assistance and care they provided, especially, Cheryl Southern, who went well above and beyond her duties in her care of Ken.
