Kevin Burke "Burkie"

Kevin R. Burke (Burkie), 63, a lifelong Lynn resident, passed away on August 18, 2019 from cancer at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He was the cherished son of the late Richard Burke and Phyllis (Smith) Burke. He was the beloved partner of Karen Zysk with whom he shared over 35 years with.

He is also survived by his brothers Michael Burke and his wife Ruth, of Lynn, John Burke, of Lynn, Matt Burke, of Martha’s Vineyard, Mark Burke and his wife Sue, of Salem; his sisters Eileen Gardner and her late husband Bobby, of Gloucester, Cynthia Perullo and her husband John, of Saugus, Linda Burke, of Lynn, Cherylann Burke, of Lynn, Kathy Burke, of Lynn, Christine Spaulding and her husband Mike, of Rockport; Kevin is also survived by his several nieces, nephews, many friends, his dear friend Buzzy Barton and family and his beloved cat Saffi. His brother Jimmy Burke predeceased him.

Kevin had retired from the Lynn Water and Sewer, and attended Lynn public schools. He will be greatly missed. Rest in peace.

Visiting hours will be held at the Cuffe- McGinn Funeral Home on Friday, August 23rd from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. The family has asked for in lieu of Flowers for donations to be made in Kevin’s memory in a charity of your choice.
