Kevin A. McCarthy

Kevin A. McCarthy, age 21years, of Lynn died Wednesday at Union Hospital, after being stricken at home, surrounded by his immediate family. Born in Salem he is the beloved son of Philip Allan and Nanette (Forrest) McCarthy. He attended Lynn schools and graduated from Lynn English High School, Class of 2010. Kevin was an active participant in the Challenger Little League. He was an avid fan of all local sports teams. Kevin was known for his enthusiasm for life and his infectious smile that brought insurmountable joy to family, friends and even casual acquaintances. In addition to his parents he is survived by one sister Gail M. McCarthy of Lynn, one brother Paul A. McCarthy of Lynn, several aunts and uncles, Judith A. McCarthy of Lynn, Richard Forrest of Grafton, MA, Karen Forrest of Grafton MA, Scott Forrest-Allen of Lynn, Jason Allen-Forrest of Lynn, his maternal grandfather Charles and his wife Sheila Forrest of Lynn. He is pre-deceased by his maternal grandmother Rosaline (d'Entremont) Forrest, and his paternal grandparents Philip C. and Ruth E. (Johnson) McCarthy. Service Information: Kevin's service will be from the Parker Funeral Home 35 Franklin St. Lynn on Saturday at 10:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Pius V Church at 11:00 AM, to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours are on Friday from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. Please make donations in Kevin's name to the Challenger Little League 26 Nichols St. Swampscott, MA 01907.
