Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Stephen F. and Anna E. “Annabelle” (McHugh) McDonough. He graduated from Lynn Classical High School, Class of 1961.
A Marine Corps veteran, Larry worked as a general foreman for the D.C.R. for 35 years in the Nahant Labor Yard and retired five years ago.
He loved to travel, especially to Las Vegas. He was an avid reader and also loved cats.
The brother of the late Stephen McDonough, a police detective in Modesto, CA, he was the uncle of Kim, Stephanie, Rachel and David. He also leaves his best friend John Stanasek and his family, and several cousins.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday at 8AM in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple Street, Lynn, followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 9AM. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lynn.
