Leo Francis Curtis, a long-time resident of Lynn, passed away on February 24, 2018 at the age of 90. Born in Lynn on January 2, 2018, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Ellen (McGrath) Curtis. Leo was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School with the Class of 1945. After his schooling, Leo enlisted into the US Navy to help fight for our country post World War II. Leo enlisted on February 19, 1946 and bravely served until his honorable discharge as an Airman, 1st Class on January 6, 1948. Leo attended school at Boston University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Leo married his sweetheart, Patricia E. Brady in May of 1958. The couple spent almost 60 years in marriage and love together as they raised their family. Leo worked for many years as a dedicated employee of the General Electric Co. where he worked as a Manager in the Provisioning Support Group for their aircraft division. Leo loved to travel with his wife and family and enjoyed photography.
In addition to his wife, Leo is survived by his children: Patricia Lee Curtis and her husband, Bruce Hiltonen of Beverly and Barry J. Curtis and his wife, Marcia of Hampton, NH as well as his beloved grandchildren, Kyle and Claire Curtis of Hampton, NH.
A private funeral service was held in Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Thursday, March 1, 2018. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery, Lynn.
