Linda L. Bucy

Mrs. Linda L. (Strong) Bucy, age 74, of Lynn, died Tuesday afternoon in a local nursing home after a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard Bucy, with whom she shared 14 years of marriage.

Born in Morrisville, VT, Linda was the daughter of the late Wallace A. and Lylith V. (Little) Strong. She attended Lynn Schools, was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School and resided in Lynn her entire life.

Prior to her retirement, Linda worked as a Home Health Aide for over 20 years. An avid New England sports fan, she also enjoyed dancing, playing darts, karaoke, road trips to Vermont and just having fun.

She leaves three sons: Scott Fertel of Gloucester, Todd Fertel and his wife Elizabeth of Lynn and Mark Fertel and his wife Sonia of Framingham. She was the sister to Frank Strong of Lynn. She was also the loving Grandmother to Isabella, Jaxon, Evangelina and Kelton and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the sister to the late Madean Webster and Pasha Strong.

Linda’s Funeral Service will be held in the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Saturday at 10:00AM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting Hours Friday 4-8PM. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be sent to Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant St. Watertown, MA 02472.
