Lorraine G. DeHullu, age 90 former longtime resident of Lynn passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at home in Brentwood, NH. Lorraine was born in Waltham on January 1, 1928 the daughter of the late, Charles O. and Ethel L. (Peterson) Palmer. She was raised in Lynn and graduated from Lynn English High School. She played drums in the Drum & Bugle Corps. During WWII she worked for Sylvania and later for G.E. River Works. She always enjoyed working with her hands and enjoyed all kinds of crafts. Her favorite hobbies were sewing and dancing. Lorraine later started her own decorating business, specializing in custom drapery. In 1976 she moved to Plaistow, NH.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, George DeHullu and her son, Paul McAndrews, Jr. She is survived by a loving family including her brother, Wayne Palmer of TN, step-daughter and husband, Antoinette and Richard Heider of Plaistow, NH, two granddaughters, Deborah Farinella of Dracut, MA and Lisha McAndrews of Londonderry, NH, niece and caregiver for the past twelve years, Laurie Stimson of Brentwood, NH, step-granddaughter, Andrea Farrington of Woodstock, VT. Five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive her.
Family and friends are invited to attend Mrs. DeHullu’s visitation on Friday, March 9, 2018 from 10-11 AM at Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn, MA 01904. Her funeral service will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 11 AM. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family in Pine Grove Cemetery in Lynn.
