Born in Salem to the late James and Louise (McCullough) O’Neill. She was a graduate of Lynn English High School. Throughout her career she work at Lynn Hospital, Sweethearts Plastics, Bethany Congregational Church and at the Lynn Flea Market.
She had a love for demolition derbies, becoming the first woman to beat out two former ABC World Champions in 1978.
Margaret is survived by her two sons, David Bucknam and Mark Bucknam, her grandson Michael George Bucknam, and many nieces and nephews.
Margaret’s visitation will be held on Monday, July 13, 2026 from 9:30 to 11:30 AM at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. Her funeral service will follow at 11:30 AM. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
