Margaret Mary Meggison

Mrs. Margaret M. “Peggy” (Ahern) Meggison, age 74, of Lynn, died at her home surrounded by her family on Monday August 4, 2014. She was the wife of the late Francis C. Meggison, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage.

Born in Lynn and a lifelong Lynn resident, she was the daughter of the late Maurice J. and Lena (Coleman) Ahern.

Peggy enjoyed travelling and spending time with her family. She was an active communicant of St. Pius V Church.

She was the mother of Shirley O’Connor of Lakeville, Patricia Deveau of FL, Bonnie MacLean of Lynn, Debbie DeBerardinis of Lynn, Charles Meggison of Lynn, Joseph Meggison of Maine, Michael Meggison of Maine, Theresa Ketchen of Lynn, and James Meggison of Maine, and the sister of Bill Ahern of Peabody, Michael Ahern of New Hampshire, Lena Phillips of Stoughton and Victor Ahern of Lynn. She also leaves 22 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral will be held from the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Friday at 10:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Pius V Church at 11:00AM. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in St Joseph’s Cemetery. Visitation on Thursday from 4-7PM. Gifts in her memory may be sent to Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack St. Lawrence, MA 01843.
