Marian E. Anderson

Miss Marian E. Anderson, age 83 years, of Beverly, formerly of Topsfield died Sunday Feb. 15, at the Essex Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center after a lengthy illness. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Hildur (Pearson) Anderson. She attended schools in Saugus. Miss Anderson was employed as a Data Entry Operator at the Lynn Item, Salem House Publishing in Chicago, and at Addison Wesley Publishing in Woburn. She was a member of the Community Covenant Church in Peabody, and was an active member of the former Johnson St. Covenant Church, where she was a soloist, and sang in the choir. She is survived by two nieces Virginia Jorgenson of Peabody, Cheryl Grant of Haverhill and two nephews Kenneth Durland of Stoneham Richard Durland of Arlington, VA, and many great nieces and great nephews. She was also sister of the late Elsie Anderson, Evelyn Anderson, Florence Durland, Esther Starrett, Ruth Durland and Irene Anderson. Private Funeral services will be held at a later date.
