Marilyn H. (Brierley, Sniegoski) Manning, a long time resident of Peabody, passed away on January 16,2026, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, surrounded by her daughters. She was born in Lynn, MA to the late Joseph and Marguerite (Allen) Brierley. She is preceded in death by her husband, Tony F. Sniegoski Jr., daughter Diane Leigh Sniegoski, son Paul Joseph Sniegoski and sister Norma (Brierley) Stevens.
Marilyn was a working mother for most of her life. Her last job, which she totally enjoyed, was as an administrator, at the Salem District Court. She worked there for 12 years before retiring in 2007, at the age of 70.
In her spare time, Marilyn enjoyed playing slot machines, watching police shows, reading her "papers" (The National Enquirer and People), collecting Elvis memorabilia, and watching her beloved Patriots. Marilyn also enjoyed going on Facebook, mainly to see the posts and pictures of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved a good party! But her favorite pastime, that gave her the most joy, was spending time with her family.
Marilyn will be remembered for being a strong, resilient woman, with a big heart. She was a kind, loving and generous woman who had a great sense of humor, a contagious laugh and a beautiful, warm smile. She left a lasting impression on everyone who met her and was loved by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Linda Kelly and husband Kevin, of Amesbury, Debbie Carter and husband Rick, of Peabody, Toni LaFreniere and husband Bob, of Amesbury and daughter in law Sherry Sniegoski of Fort Lauderdale, FL
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Heather Breen and husband Jeff, Danielle Knowles and Husband Jimmy, Jennifer Jameson and husband Randy, Steven Anderson and wife Samantha, Heather Little and husband Rick, Kim Andersen and husband Dan, Cheryle Stadler and husband Rob, and April Rubert and husband Jeff. Also survived by her greatgrandchildren, Cassianne, Cameron, John, Emma, Aubree, Austin, Autumn, Trevor, Logan, Lucas, Blake, Araya and Riley. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews, David Dillaway, who was like another son to her, and her dear friend Margie Yates.
There will not be a visitation, but we will have a short service at Swampscott Cemetery, followed by a Life Celebration, in early Spring. The actual date and place are to be determined and will be updated.
