Marilyn E. Panacopoulos

LYNN - Marilyn E. (Martocchio) Panacopoulos, age 81, of Lynn, MA, passed away on Friday March 22, 2019 peacefully surrounded by her beloved family. She is survived by her remarkable and devoted husband of 50 years, Peter. She was the loving mother to her four children Ross Panacopoulos and his wife Leanne of Lynn, Angelo Panacopoulos and his wife Jennifer of Wilmington, Peter Panacopoulos and his wife Carmen of Danvers, and Michelle Tinkham and her husband William of Lynn. She was the adoring “yia yia” to her grandchildren Emma, Alexander, Christopher, Matthew, Katelyn, Joseph, Aviana, Ella, Nicole and Kailey. She was the daughter of the late Angelo and Carmella (Morello) Martocchio of Revere and dear sister to Robert Martocchio and his wife Marlene of Lynn, Mucci Martocchio of Revere, and Anthony Martocchio and his wife Brenda of Peabody. She was also the cherished “auntie” to many nieces and nephews.

Marilyn liked to dance in her younger years which is how she met her love, Peter. She also enjoyed camping, cooking, baking, crafts, puzzles and above all spending time with her family who she was most proud of and would celebrate their accomplishments as if they were her own. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her especially her grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held at Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Wednesday, March 27th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Her funeral will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 28th at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private.
