Marion L. O'Donnell

She was born in Lynn, the daughter of the late William P. and Elizabeth T. (Dow) O’Donnell. She was a resident of Lynn all her life and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School, class of 1941.

Marion worked in the Payroll and Purchasing Departments of the General Electric Company, Lynn Riverworks plant and retired in 1988 with 45 years of service. She was an avid shopper and collector and enjoyed outings and traveling with her long-time group of friends.

She is survived by her niece Maureen Mahoney of Lynn, a great nephew, Grant Smith of Winchester, and a great niece, Amanda Smith Mahoney of New Hampshire. She also leaves three great-great nieces, Payton, Taylor and Reagan Mahoney. She was the sister of the late William O’Donnell and Charles O’Donnell and aunt of the late Patricia Smith. She also leaves her dearest friend, Virginia Linehan of Lynn, who she considered family, and many other lifelong friends.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, March 9th, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. Lynn, followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Chapel, Lynn at 11 a.m. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
