Marjorie was born in Roxbury, Massachusetts in 1933, where she grew up with her parents, two brothers, and a sister. Marjorie remembered often going to see the Red Sox, sitting in the bleachers, and buying a Coke and a hot dog all for $1. As an independent woman and adventurer, Marjorie joined the U. S. Foreign Service for which she was stationed in Taiwan and Guyana.
Marjorie married in Guyana and moved back to the United States where she worked as an administrative assistant and vocational teacher. Marjorie spent her life caring for her family and encouraging them. She was most proud of her grandchildren and cherished the time she spent with them. Marjorie was a strong person who will always be a role model for all who had the privilege of knowing her. We will all miss her tremendously.
Marjorie was the beloved mother of Christina Geaney and Tricia Rubenstein, devoted wife of John Henriques, adored grandmother of six grandchildren, Molly, Shelby, Sabrina, Desmond, Liam, and Phoebe, and loved mother-in-law of Kevin and Richard.
Marjorie’s Funeral will be held from the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St., Lynn on Thursday at 9AM followed by a Memorial Funeral Mass in Our Lady of the Assumption, 758 Salem St., Lynnfield at 10AM. Burial to follow in Lindenwood Cemetery in Stoneham.
