Mary Sabina Celani

Mary Sabina (Dunlop) Celani, age 68 of Stuart, FL, formerly of Peabody and Lynn, passed away at her home on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Roy Celani, Sr. with whom she shared 51 years of marriage.

Mary was one of the originals, someone that in some ways does not exist anymore. She was someone who came from a large North Shore family of 13. A family that she treasured, but also a family that was tough, caring, emotional and hard to explain. At a young age Mary met a young man Roy that she knew was going to be everything she wanted. He was loving, strong, and considerate. Someone who would make her smile and would be there for her until the end, 51 years later.

Mary is survived by her children Jacalyn and Roy, Jr. who she loved more than she ever thought possible and made every sacrifice to ensure their lives would be better than her own. She also gained a daughter Joanne, who she loved dearly and taught her own secret ways. Mary was also blessed with two grandchildren Adrianna & Antonio that she loves unconditionally and dreams about day and night. In addition, she also leaves her sisters Jacqualyn and Debra, and her brothers William, Neil, Scott, Barry and Jimmy. As well as many nieces, nephews and dear cousins.

Mary is predeceased by her parents, Robert and Mary Dunlop, her brothers Michael and Robert and her sister Karen.

Though we all lost Mary, she embodies the example of what we should become. What she did not realize is that she would become Heavens perfect Angel!

Mary’s visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 from 9:00 to 11:30 AM at Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. Her funeral service will follow at 11:30 AM. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
