Mary V Werner Gay

Born in East Boston, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Margaret (Ryan) Werner.

Ginny was a longtime Lynn resident

She worked in the shipping department at the West Lynn G.E., and later worked for Kresge’s on Union Street, Lynn, and for the Lincoln Market, Essex and Chatham Streets, Lynn.

She enjoyed playing bingo and going on trips with her friends.

She leaves 4 sons John J. Gay, Jr. and his wife Carmen of Lynn, Philip Gay and his wife Mary of Fremont, NH, Roger Gay and his wife Cheryl of Lynn and Harold Gay of Rye, NH, three daughters Virginia Javery of Lynn, Barbara Davison of Haverhill and Linda McDonald and her husband James of Lynn, 19 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, a sister-in-law Joann Werner of Berlin, MD, and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Robert Werner and Harold “Eddie” Werner.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 11 AM from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple Street, Lynn, followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Lynn at 12:05 PM. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 PM. Those who wish may make donations to United Cerebral Palsy, 71 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
