

Born in Lynn, MA on September 13, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Louis C. and Mary F. (Donoghue) App. Mary was a lifelong Lynn resident, who graduated from St. Mary’s High School. Following her education, she worked as waitress for many years, and then went on to work as a cook for the Lynn Shore Retirement Home for 13 years before her retirement.
Mary was an active member of the VFW axillary and spent much of her time there. She also loved playing bingo when she had a chance. Above all else though, Mary loved spending time with her dear children and grandchildren.
Surviving Mary are her five children, Mary Jean Coogan and her husband Thomas Coogan, Sr. of Lynn, John King and his wife Denise of Attleboro, Paul King and his wife Lisa of Springfield, MO, James King and his wife Michelle of Lynn, and Patrick King of Billerica; her grandchildren Peter Coogan, Alex Derek and Harrison King all of Lynn, Samantha and Danielle King of Attleboro, Skyler and Preston King of MO; her siblings Katherine Caroll and Florence Polando, as well as many other dear relatives and friends.
Mary was the mother of the late Moira King.
Arrangements: In adherence to the guidelines of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the CDC, Services will be held privately.
