

Born in Lynn, daughter of the late William and Mary Margaret (Halligan) Nagle, she was a graduate of St. Mary’s Girl’s High School and a lifelong resident of the city.
She was employed as a Home Health Aide for many years, working with those suffering from Alzheimer’s. She was previously a Cook at St. Mary’s High School Cafeteria for several years.
Mary was a longtime active communicant of St. Mary’s Church, where she was a member of the Sodality and worked for many years helping with the Church Fairs and other functions for the parish. She was fondly known by her neighbors as the “ Honorable Mayor of Waverly St.” She was a extremely sociable, friendly woman who had a tremendous “Gift of Gab”, and never had a bad word to say about anyone. She enjoyed watching “Dancing With the Stars” on TV. Mary had a wonderful sense of humor and took great pride in her Irish Heritage.
She leaves her children Ann Dostert of Lynn, Joseph LaPointe and his wife Mary Jo of Lynn and James LaPointe and his wife Gail of Lynnfield, a brother Richard Nagle of Revere, six grandchildren Evan Dostert, David and Matthew Kelley, and Amy, Heather, and Jeanmarie LaPointe.
She was sister of the late William Nagle.
Funeral from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple St., Lynn Wednesday at 11 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church at 12 noon. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 PM. Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lynn. Donations in Mary’s memory may be sent to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen St. Framingham. MA 01701.
