Michael J. "Big Mike" Kidney

Born in Lynn, Mike was the son of Gertrude D. (Moore) Kidney of Lynn and the late James Kidney. He attended Lynn Schools and was a graduate of Lynn Vocational Technical High School Class of 1978. He was a lifelong Lynner.

Mike held several jobs over the years in the local plumbing and towing industry and most recently ran his own company, Big Mike's Trucking. He was very involved with the annual Lynn Christmas Parade for many years.

In addition to his mother, he leaves his brothers and sisters: Joanne M. James and her husband Gary, Karen L. Rowe, James T. Kidney and his wife Christine, Kevin F. Kidney and his wife Judy and Paul S. Kidney all of Lynn. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grandnephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and several close friends.

Mike’s Funeral will be held from the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Thursday at 10:00AM followed by a Graveside Service in Pine Grove Cemetery, LYNN at 11:00AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting Hours Wednesday 4-8PM. In lieu of flowers, gifts in Mike’s memory may be sent to the Lynn Christmas Parade c/o John’s Oil, 15 Avon St. Lynn, MA 01905.
