
Mrs. Nancy R. (Greene) O’Connor, age 70, of Lynn, died unexpectedly on Wednesday morning in Massachusetts General Hospital following a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of Donald O’Connor, with whom she shared 54 years of marriage.
Born in Boston, Nancy was the daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes (Morrison) Greene. She attended Dorchester Schools and was a graduate of Dorchester High School. She was a resident of Lynn for the past 49 years.
Nancy was well known as “the cook” at the Sisson Elementary School for many years. She enjoyed walking the mall, sewing and trips to Foxwoods.
In addition to her husband, she leaves her children, Donald O’Connor, Jr. and his wife Amie of Plymouth, Cindy Gaw and her husband Clayton of Londonderry, NH, William O’Connor of Wilmington and Dana O’Connor and his wife Nancy of Lynn. She was the sister of John Greene and his wife Billy of Abington and Mary Jane Cleaves and her husband Donald of Braintree. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Alan and Dana Greene.
At Nancy’s request, Funeral Services will be private with arrangements entrusted to the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn, MA 01904. Donations in Nancy’s memory may be sent to the American Lung Association, 460 Totten Pond Road, Suite 400, Waltham 02451.
