Mrs. Odile E. (Jalbert) Michaud, age 93, longtime resident of the Castle Hill section of Salem, passed away Friday morning in the Grosvenor Park Nursing Home, Salem. In 1941, she married Henri H. Michaud, with whom she shared 62 years of marriage before Henri died in 2004.
Odile was born and educated in Salem, daughter of the late Hector and Anna (Fontaine) Jalbert.
She was a long time devoted parishioner of Ste. Anne’s Church in Salem.
She was the loving and devoted mother of Jeanne L. LeVasseur and her husband Ronald J. of Ipswich and D. Michel Michaud of Lynn. She was the sister of Lea I. Mitchell of Marblehead and Hector Jalbert and his wife Arline of Fort Worth, TX. Also survived by her loving granddaughters Danielle LeVasseur, Lisa LeVasseur, and Amy LeVasseur, great-grandchildren Sarah and Dustin Healey, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was the sister of the late Leo, Andre and Helene Jalbert and Bernadette Boucher.
Odile’s funeral will be from the CUFFE-McGINN FUNERAL HOME 157 Maple St. Lynn on Tuesday at 10:00 AM. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Ste. Anne’s Church, Salem at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Monday from 2-4 & 7-9. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
