

Born in Memramcook, New Brunswick Canada, Owen was the son of the late Fériole and Emma LeBlanc. He served in the Canadian Army from 1942 to 1946, and was a member of AMVETS post 12. He worked for many years as a carpenter and was a longstanding member of the Carpenters Local Union 26. He enjoyed watching the Sox and Bruins, playing cards, square dancing and wintering in Florida for many years, and loved socializing with his circle of lifelong friends affectionately referred to as “the gang.” He and Marguerite moved to St. Theresa House in Lynn in 2008 where he enjoyed the support and company of friends, staff, and the St. Mary's parish community.
Owen is survived by his children, Paul LeBlanc of Lynn, Janice MacDonald and husband Brian of Lynn, and Joanne Bingham and her husband Ronald of Wyoming; his grandchildren Meaghan MacDonald of St. Louis, Missouri, and Evan MacDonald of Lakewood, Ohio. He was the brother of Ira LeBlanc and his wife Rosaline of Connecticut, Ralph LeBlanc and his wife Hermance of Canada and the late William, Edgar (Jack), Edwin (King); his sisters Elda LeBlanc of Canada and Louise LeBlanc and her husband Leonard of New Hampshire.
Owen’s funeral will be held from the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Monday at 9:30 AM followed by a funeral mass at St. Mary’s Church, Lynn at 10:30 AM.
