Patricia "Pat" A. (Kohut) Volta, age 81, of Saugus and Shapleigh, ME, entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 17, 2025 surrounded by her family and friends. Patricia was the daughter of the late Arthur F. and Alyce (Crosby) Kohut. She was predeceased by her brother, A. Francis A. Kohut. She leaves behind the love of her life and partner of over 60 years Edward P. Volta, sister-in-law Dolores Kohut, niece Dia Garcia, great niece Rachel Garcia, and many cousins especially Dawn Henderson and Eileen Blyth. Patricia was a retired Federal Employee.
Patricia was an active member of the Saugus/Everett Lodge of Elks #642.She was the first woman secretary of the Saugus Lodge #2100, the first statewide woman officer of the Mass.Elks Assn. and the first and to date the only woman named State Elk of the Year, she was also named Female Veteran Volunteer for her donations of lap robes to veterans and nursing home residence.
A Visitation for Pat will be held Sunday, March 2, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM in the Cuffe- McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn, followed by her Funeral Service at 4:30 PM. Burial will be private.
