Patricia B. Riley

Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Leo J. and Alice M. (Rubinowski) Walsh. A lifelong resident of Lynn, she graduated from St. Mary’s Girls High School, Lynn, Class of 1968.

She first worked as a secretary in the G.E. Security Office. For ten years she was the office manager for the Solimine Funeral Homes of Lynn. She then worked as an Inspector at the River Works G.E., processing and inspecting aircraft engine parts for cracks and non-conformance indications, and retired in 2011.

While her children were in elementary school, she served as Secretary for the Connery School PTA. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, Lynn and served as a Eucharistic Minister. She also taught CCD at St. Mary’s, and later was a cook for St. Mary’s Rectory.

A devoted mother and grandmother, she was the mother of Lawrence “Buddy” Riley and his wife Melodie of Saugus, Kristen Luciano and her husband Michael of Salem, and Annie (Riley) Ordway and her husband Ian of Atkinson, NH, the sister of Leo Walsh and his wife Diane of Saugus, Dennis Walsh and his wife Meg of Parkman, ME, Barbara Irvine and her late husband James of Waterford, CT, Theresa Walsh of Lynn and the late Ann Daley, the beloved nana of Michael, Madison, and Mason Luciano, Tyler and Trey Riley, and leaves many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held on Friday at 8 AM from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple St., Lynn, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Lynn at 9 AM. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. Visiting hours Thursday from 4-8 PM. Gifts in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105
