Born in Peabody, he graduated from Salem High School, and lived in Lynn for the past 20 years. He was the son of the late James and Nora (Mullen) Carroll.
Paul retired from Sky Chefs of Boston. He enjoyed writing poetry, flying aircraft and working on Titanic research.
Paul also leaves three step-sons Richard Wendell of Hebron, NH, Kenneth Wendell of Grafton, NH, and Steven Wendell of Lynn, a brother Charles Carroll and his wife Barbara of Danvers, a sister Mary Roddin and her husband Phillip of Beverly, and several nieces and nephews.
Private arrangements were by the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple Street, Lynn.
