Peter Drivas

Born and raised in Lynn, he graduated from Lynn Classical High School in 1968 and went on to receive a bachelor’s degree from the University of New Hampshire. He was a schoolteacher for over 40 years specializing in at risk youths.

Peter was an accomplished painter, enjoyed rock and roll music, English sports cars especially Jaguars, Boston sports and fishing. He was especially fond of spending time with his beloved family at the lakeside home of his daughter Melanie.

Peter leaves behind four daughters. Jennifer Linke and her husband Paul of Groveland, Melanie Drivas and her partner James Lundrigan of Merrimac, Amanda Rowe and her husband Andrew of Peabody and Kristy Rodriguez and her husband David of Salem.

Peter was the proud grandfather of Benjamin Linke of Amesbury, Abigail Linke of Groveland, and Aaron and Aidan Rowe of Peabody. He is also survived by his two siblings Phillip Drivas of Peabody and Pamela Upton of Wilmington and several nieces and nephews. He was especially close with two cousins, Peter Drivas of Bedford and Patricia Schneider of Swampscott. He also leaves his former wife, Joanne Quinn of Lynn.

Peter was predeceased by his beloved wife Patricia Souza Drivas, with whom he shared 10 years of marriage, and his parents Nicholas and Stacia Drivas.

At the request of Peter’s family, funeral services will be private.
