Philip C. Litch, Sr, age 89, of Viera, Fl and formerly of Lynn, passed away on August 19, 2019. He was the son of the late William and May (Simpson) Litch, and the beloved husband of the late Gertrude “Trudi” (Fowler) Litch and of the late Lorraine (Petitpas) (Longmire) Litch. Phil was predeceased by his son William Litch and by siblings Shirley Emerton, William Litch Jr. and Barbara Day.
Phil attended Lynn Public Schools and served in the US Army. After serving in the Army he became a police officer for the City of Lynn. He became a Real Estate Broker after retiring from the police force.
Phil was passionate about traveling within the United States and abroad. He enjoyed playing cards and cribbage and working in his gardens. He truly loved life and spending time with family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
Phil is survived by his daughter Trudy (Litch) Eastman and her husband Robert of FL, Phil Litch, Jr. and his late wife Sandra (Cwalina) Litch of Lynn, Thomas Litch and his wife Nancy (Thomas) Litch of Beverly, and daughter Ruth (Litch) Quint and her husband Haven of New Hampshire. He was the loving grandfather of Melissa, Bobby, Tiffany , Phillip III, Steffany, Matt, Jessica and Derek, the caring great-grandfather of Kylie, Meagan, Owen, Wyatt, Brady, Ethan, Max, Maisie, Harrison, Armani, Aaliyah, Kaden, Dylan and Grace, and leaves several nieces, nephews and cousins. “Thanks for the laughs to my Best Friend Bobby Jacobsen”.
Services were held in Viera, Florida.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019 from 9 AM to 10 AM in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn, followed by a Funeral Service at 10 AM. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
