
Mrs. Phyllis Mae (Myler) Hoffman, age 94 years, of Lynn, formerly of Lynnfield, Cape Cod and Swampscott, died peacefully Saturday morning at Grosvenor Park Nursing Center after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Herbert E. Hoffman, with whom she shared 42 years of marriage. Born in Lynn she was the daughter of the late Philip and Ethel (Currie) Myler. She attended Lynn schools and graduated from Lynn Classical High School, Class of 1935. After high school she moved to Washington, DC, where she had a brief career before getting married. While in Washington she made many lifelong friends and maintained correspondence with them throughout her life. She enjoyed traveling in the United States and abroad. Mrs. Hoffman is survived by one son Philip H. Hoffman of Tierra Verde, FL, two daughters Gretchen and her husband Rev. Robert H Naylor of Greenwich, CT, Heidi E. Hoffman of Lynn, three grandchildren Adam H. Naylor, Andrew P. Naylor, Philippa K. Haven, two great grandchildren, Grace E. & McKayla N. Naylor. Service Details: Funeral services will be held at the Parker Funeral Home 35 Franklin St. Lynn on Friday at 10:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited. Burial will follow in Bourne National Cemetery.
