

Born in Stoneham, Dick was the son of the late Richard and Margaret (Vollm) Schulz. At the age of 16, Dick went to work with his father as a Glazer. After a 42 year career, he retired from Brockway-Smith in 1993. After his retirement, he stayed very active and pursued all of his hobbies. He enjoyed fishing, building bird houses, flying kites, tropical fish, model airplanes and car swapping. In addition to his enthusiasm for his hobbies, Dick was a very friendly conversationalist who loved people and loved the limelight. Dick honorably served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.
In addition to his beloved wife, Dick is survived by a sister, Virginia Jaynes of NH, brother-in-law Fred Townsend and wife Nancy of North Andover, sister-in-laws Marilyn McElligot and husband Tom of West Newbury and Marge Snow and husband Dave of FL. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Patricia Schulz.
Visiting Hours for Dick will be held in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn on Tuesday from 9AM-11AM followed by a procession leaving the Funeral Home at 11AM for a Graveside Service with Military Honors at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the charity of your choice.
