Roberta Jarvis Mitchell

Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Dorothy (Clements) Jarvis, Sr., and graduated from Lynn English High School.

For over twenty years, Roberta was a teacher’s aide in the Lynn Public Schools, including the Ingalls and Hood Schools.

She was a member of the Bethel A.M.E. Church, Lynn. She was also a lifelong member and past Auxiliary President of the Community Brotherhood of Lynn, and was a longtime member of their Scholarship Committee.

Roberta leaves her daughters Michelle Mitchell of Lynn and Allison Mitchell of Arlington, VA, her brother Vincent Jarvis, Jr. and his wife Denise of Oxford, CT, and many extended family members including her cousin Claudia Janey of Milford, MA who was more like a sister to her.

Her funeral Service will be held on Friday at 10:30AM in the CUFFE-McGINN FUNERAL HOME 157 Maple Street, Lynn. Visiting hours on Thursday from 4-8 PM. Interment will be private.
