To A Very Special Brother in Law,
Ron, I just hope I showed you enough appreciation for all you have done for me .When I was quite sick(last 8-9 years)you could not do enough for me. From buying hats when I was bald, taking me out for dinners, driving me to Dr. appointments when I was too weak. Always asking me if you could help me out in any way. Your love and concern for me will be in my heart forever. You had a heart of gold and I was so fortunate to have such a generous kind, and caring brother in law. Although it is hard now, it is time for God to take you in his arms and care for you like you cared for so many people family and strangers alike.

I met Ron a little over 10 years ago when he interviewed me at the VA Echo Lab. I had been out of work for 3 years due to a health crisis and did not know if I had a career left. Though my skills were shot, Ron could see that I had some ability and was willing to take me under his wing and mentor me. In time I was hired -- in January it will be 10 years. He always scoffed when I told him he was my hero, but it's true. He gave me back my life as profoundly as any doctor. I will miss him terribly.
