Ronald Joseph Gallant

Ronald, known to many as Ronny, was raised in Lynn and graduated from Lynn Trade High School, Class of 1965. He proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Specialist and was stationed in the Republic of Vietnam war from December 1969 to December 1970. Following his military service, he began a long and dedicated career as a welder with GE Aerospace at the River Works plant, where he worked for 38 years before retiring in 2011.

Ronny had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and was an accomplished target shooter. He was an active member of several sportsmen’s clubs in the Lynn area.

He is survived by his brother, Charles Gallant, and sister-in-law, Peggy O’Neill Gallant of Newberry, Florida; his nephew, Andrew Gallant and his wife, Jennifer (Chubb) Gallant of New Bern, North Carolina; his niece, Meghan (Gallant) Blake and her husband, Robert Blake; and his two great-nephews, Robert and Charles, and one great-niece, Audrey, all of Newberry, Florida.

A graveside service will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery, 145 Boston Street, Lynn, in the Vietnam Veterans section, on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
