Obituary of Rosemary Pothier
IN THE CARE OF

Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home

Rosemary (Mayo) Pothier, age 83 of Palmetto, FL, formerly of Lynn, passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025. She was the beloved wife of John Pothier, with whom she shared 61 years of marriage.

Born in Lynn to the late Irving and Olivine Mayo. She was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School. Rosemary had a career in banking and retired with Santander Bank. She and John raised their family in Lynn, and she was volunteered in everything her children were involved in. She was President of the Boosters for East Lynn Little League, Lynn Tech Hockey and was a booster for the swim team. She was also a Campfire Leader for the Camp Fire Girls.

Rosemary and John were snowbirds traveling to different parts of Florida throughout the years before finally settling in Palmetto. She loved to make beaded bracelets and playing games on her computer, but what she loved more than anything in the world was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her devoted husband John, she is survived by her loving children Michele Brewster and her husband Glen, and John Pothier, Jr. and his wife Catherine; her cherished grandchildren Daniele Cunha and her husband Chris, Nicole Brewster and her fiancé Louis Hernandez, Gabrielle Pothier and her boyfriend Tyler Jones, and Kayla Pothier and her boyfriend Alex Regan; and her great-grandchildren Taylor Brewster, Luisianna Hernandez, Isabella Hernandez, Brayden Cunha, and Emma Cunha. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

At the family’s request, funeral services are private.
