

She was the wife of the late Gerald J. Starion, with whom she was married to for 54 years.
Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Cornelius J. and Helen D. (Rundlett) Collins. She graduated from Lynn English High School Class of 1953 and was a member of the National Honor Society.
Shirley was a devout Catholic and communicant of St. Pius V Church, where she was served as a Eucharistic Minister, both at St. Pius V and at North Shore Medical Center.
She worked as a secretary for 17 years for the Jackson & Phillips Printing Company of Lynn.
She was also a member of Habitat for Humanity, Shoe City Lions Club of Lynn, and the Hospital Ministry at North Shore Medical Center.
Shirley was the mother of Kevin J. Starion and his wife Jane of Salem, Jeffrey C. Starion and his companion Joanie Yebba of Peabody, and Sean C. Starion of Lynn and was the grandmother of Emily, Sarah, Dylan, and great-grandson Giuseppe.
She loved cooking and travelling, one of her favorite destinations was Hawaii. She especially loved her family.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025, from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple Street, Lynn. Her funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025, in St. Pius V Church, Lynn at 10:30 AM. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery.
