Sonya Letitia Anderson

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sonya Letitia Anderson (Williams), who passed away on July 15, 2026, at the age of 60.

Sonya was born in Saugus, MA, raised in Lynn, MA and graduated from Bishop Fenwick High School . She later built a life in Beverly, MA, where she raised her two children. She worked as a mailroom clerk for Bell Atlantic/NYNEX, and for many years worked two jobs to provide for her family. Her work ethic, determination, and unwavering commitment to her children were defining characteristics of her life.

Above all else, Sonya was a fiercely devoted and resilient mother. Raising two children on her own was her life’s greatest accomplishment. Through hard work, sacrifice, and unconditional love, she gave her children every opportunity to succeed, teaching them the value of perseverance, strength, and family. Despite the demands of work, she cherished every opportunity to spend time with those she loved. Family gatherings brought her immense joy, and she created lasting memories through her love, laughter, and generous heart.

Sonya’s legacy lives on in the family she worked so hard to nurture and in the countless lives she touched through her kindness and selflessness.

She is survived by her son Jaron Anderson and his wife Meghan, and their daughter Myla (Wells, ME); her daughter Treshonna Heath (Winthrop, MA); her sister Pamela Lovett (Augusta, GA) and her children; her brother Chauncey Williams and his wife Patricia (Lynn, MA) and their children; her sister Cynthia Williams (Peabody, MA); along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joyce Cooper and Charles Williams.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Sonya’s life on Saturday, August 1, 2026, in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn, MA. Visitation hours will be from 10:00a.m. to 12:00p.m. with a service to follow.

Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in knowing that Sonya’s love, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family will remain with us always. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
