

Stephen George Coukos, Jr., a life-long resident of Lynn, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 31, 2016, he was 37. Born in Lynn, he was the beloved son of Stephen G. Coukos, Sr. and Sheryl A. (Blaney) Coukos. Stephen was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School with the Class of 1997 where he was an excellent student and athlete. He was an avid Boston sports fan, but he especially loved the Patriots. Stephen enjoyed deconstructing things to figure out the way they worked only to reassemble them. He was notorious for doing this to his cars. He also had a fondness for camping and the wilderness. A man with a huge heart, Stephen deeply loved his family and friends but nothing could compare to the love he had for his children.
Stephen is survived by his children: Jocelyn, Tyler, Haleigh, and Cameron, his parents: Stephen G. Coukos, Sr. and his wife, Annette of Barrington, NH and Sheryl A. Coukos of Lynn and her companion, Tony Chiarello of Amesbury, his brother, Christopher J. Coukos of Lynn, his maternal grandfather, John P. Blaney, Jr. and his step-siblings, Jessica and Ronald DeMars, both of Lynn as well as the numerous aunts, uncles & cousins with whom he was very close. Stephen was also a huge animal lover and leaves his pets: Kaiser, Angel, and Shaymus. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, the late Dorothy M. Blaney and his paternal grandparents, the late George S. and Virginia Coukos.
A Funeral Service will be held in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. LYNN on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 11 AM. Interment services will be held privately. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visiting Hours to be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 from 4 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Stephen’s memory may be made to either the Children’s Make-A-Wish Foundation or St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital.
