

Susanna (Brancaleone) Bourgeois, age 90, of Lynn, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 1st. Born and raised in Gloucester, she was the daughter of the late Sophie and Paul Brancaleone. She was the beloved wife of Norman Bourgeois of Lynn.
Susanna was a graduate of Gloucester High School Class of 1937, where she won the Sawyer Medal of Honor. She then attended Burdett Business College in Lynn, and worked as a legal secretary for the late Essex County District Attorney William G. Clark. She subsequently worked for him in his private law practice.
She married in 1948, was a communicant at St. Pius V Church, and raised five children. She loved gourmet cooking for family, and spending time with her five wonderful grandchildren.
Susanna and her husband Norman enjoyed ballroom dancing, attending musical stage productions at the South Shore Music Theatre, and the good company of many longtime friends.
She is survived by her husband Norman, her two daughters Lorraine Bourgeois of Lynn and Norma Reardon of Groveland; her three sons Paul and Robert Bourgeois of Lynn and Richard Bourgeois of Salem; and her grandchildren Andrew, Jocelyn, and Amy Bourgeois of Lynn, and Matthew and Ryan Reardon of Groveland. She was the sister of Salvatore Brancaleone of California. She was also the sister of the late Elizabeth Brancaleone of Gloucester, the late Joseph Brancaleone of Gloucester, the late Grace Selig of Lynn, and the late Rosemary Stock of North Carolina.
Funeral from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple Street, Lynn on Friday at 8 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Pius V Church Lynn at 9 AM. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the NB Alliance, P. O.
