Theodore "Ted" J. Billias

Born in Lynn, Ted was the son of the late Theodore A. Billias and Panayiota (Tryphonos) Billias. He graduated from Lynn English High School Class of 1972. After graduation, Ted went into the family business, Tab Engineering, building ice skating rinks. He owned and operated the company for over 35 years, retiring in 2008. Ted enjoyed live music and was a sound engineer for many North Shore bands. He loved sailing, was a great conversationalist and he was a very caring and generous man who was always willing to help anyone in need.

In addition to his mother, Ted is survived by his children, Joseph Billias and wife Tonia of NH, Nicole Hicks and husband Michael of Hudson, Costa Billias and fiancé Briana of Lynn, Christine Tedstone and husband Lou of Hudson and Edmond Canning and wife Bobbilee of TN. He is also survived by his lifelong best friend, Carolyn Billias of Marblehead, brothers, Michael Billias and wife Marsha, Steven Billias, and Christopher Billias, all of Nahant. He was the beloved grandfather of 14 grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews.

Ted’s Funeral service will be held at Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn on Tuesday at 7PM. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 4PM until the time of service. Relatives and Friends invited.
