LYNN- Theresa “Louise” Gates, 88, a lifelong resident of Lynn, passed away, Thursday, July 24, 2015. Born in Lynn, Louise was the daughter of the late Leonard and Emma (Richard) Poirier; the beloved wife of the late Donald F. Gates; the loving mother of Donald R. Gates, Lynn PD, and his wife Brenda of Lynn; the cherished grandmother of Hailey Gates; dear sister of Yvonne Woodbury of Lynn and the late Edward and Elzear Poirier and the aunt of several nieces and nephews. Primarily a homemaker, she worked at GE in Lynn for 15 years and also for H& R Block. She loved to garden. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28t,h, at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 17 Grove St., Lynnfield. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Lynn.
