

Vincent J. Fabucci, age 85, of Lynn, died on Thursday, August 11, 2016, at Salem Hospital after a short illness. He was the husband of Patricia J. (Donnelly) Fabucci, with whom he shared 56 years of marriage.
A lifelong Lynn resident, he was the son of the late Vincent and Marianna (Liberti-Scioli) Fabucci. He graduated from St. Mary’s Boys High School, Class of 1950, and Boston College, Class of 1957. A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, Vincent worked for Sylvania and the Lynn Redevelopment Authority before retiring from the State Lottery for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He was a communicant of St. Ann’s Church, Peabody, where he served on the Parish Council and was an usher at Mass. He was a member of the St. Mary’s Class of 1950 Reunion Committee and the Meadowlarks.
Vincent enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his his grandchildren. He was also a huge Patriots fan, an excellent photographer, and spent his free time walking the beach and doing volunteer work at My Brother’s Table in Lynn. He had a kind word for everyone he met and will be greatly missed by many dear friends. He was particularly known for his pizza parties and his love of dancing, the jitterbug in particular. At his granddaughter’s recent wedding, he and his wife Patricia were the last ones on the dance floor. His devotion to his wife and family were an inspiration to many.
In addition to his wife, he leaves a son David V. Fabucci; a daughter Joanne M. Sheridan and her husband, John; sister-in-law Donna Down and husband Jim; a sister Luciana Calder and her late husband Robert; six grandchildren Dustin, Danielle, Leah and her husband Juvenal, Jake, Joshua and John; his nephews, Robert and Paul Calder, and nieces Janet Miller and Elizabeth, Catherine, and Allison Down.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10AM in St. Ann’s Church, 140 Lynn St., Peabody. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Sunday from 3-7pm in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St., Lynn, MA.
