

Mrs. Vincenza A. “Vinnie” (DiStefano) Scarpelli, age 89, of Lynn formerly of East Boston, died peacefully Tuesday morning in the Kaplan Family Hospice House after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank M. Scarpelli.
Born in East Boston, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Liboria (Fiorino) DiStefano. She was raised in East Boston and resided there before moving to Lynn 40 years ago.
She previously worked as a seamstress in the local clothing industry. Vinnie had a love for sewing, whether it was fixing or making clothes, altering, or creating draperies. She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Revere for many years.
She leaves her children, Michael J. Scarpelli and Patricia Moglia and her husband William all of Lynn. She was the Grandmother to William M. Moglia and Deanna Moglia both of Lynn. She was the sister to the late Charles DiStefano, Jennie Ferraro and Yola Avellino and Grandmother to the late Brandon Moglia.
Her Funeral will be held from the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Friday at 10:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Pius V Church at 11:00AM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Visiting Hours Thursday 4-8PM. Gifts in her memory may be sent the charity of one’s choice.
