

Mr. Warren K. Smith, age 93 years, of Lynn died Sunday at the E. N. Rogers Veterans Memorial Hospital in Bedford after a brief illness. He was the husband of Margaret (Withey) Smith with whom he shared 70 years of marriage.
Born in Lynn he was the son of the late George and Pauline (Lohnes) Smith, he attended Lynn schools and graduated from Lynn Vocational Technical Institute, Class of 1940. He enlisted in the US Navy and served during WW II. Warren we employed as a machinist at the General Electric for many years until he retired in 1983. He also built bread racks for Nissans Bakery, part time. He built his own home in 1951 and has lived there ever since. Warren was an active member of the Community Covenant Church in Peabody and a past president and Dietech Group. Warren enjoyed carpentry, traveling and has traveled to 48 states. He loved being with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife he is survived by three daughters and their husbands Nancy A. and Donald Gayron of Danvers, Marsha J. and David Hallahan of Danvers, Laurie J. and Doug Paris of Middleton, seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Eleanor Reed.
Service Details: Visiting will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by Funeral services at the Parker Funeral Home 35 Franklin St. Lynn on Wednesday at 11:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Please make memorial donations in Warren’s name to the Community Covenant Church 33 Lake St. Peabody, MA 01960.
