William (Bill) Eugene Beaupre passed away at his daughter’s home in Georgetown, MA surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at the age of 87. He was the beloved husband of the late Norma (Cooper) Beaupre, with whom he had shared 60 wonderful years of marriage.
Born to George and Beryl (Greenwood) Beaupre in Lynn, MA, Bill grew up with his four brothers George, John, Richard, and Robert, and his sister Beryl. He attended Lynn English High School in Lynn, MA then joined the United States Navy at the age of 17. He met the love of his life and future wife, Norma (Cooper) Beaupre when he was 13 and she was 11 in Lynn, MA. They eloped at the ages of 20 and 18 on February 15, 1955 in New Hampshire, then celebrated their nuptials with their families on April 17, 1955.
Bill enjoyed numerous hobbies throughout his life including photography, woodworking, boating, and baseball. A fervent baseball fan, he was actively involved in Lynn Shore Little League; he umpired games in Lynn for years with his family in attendance. He ran the Lynn Shore Little League and attended the Williamsport Little League World Series in PA as the District Administrator for Lynn in the early 1970s. However, Bill’s favorite sport was football, and he would watch football every weekend with his wife, and in later years with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bill adored taking vacations to Disney World with his wife and family. Upon retirement in Alton Bay NH, Bill loved to take his family boating on Lake Winnipesaukee; also, an avid woodworker for years, he made numerous treasured pieces for family and friends.
Family was everything to Bill, and he was most often found playing and entertaining his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He greatly enjoyed watching his granddaughters dance, and was always present at his sister-in-law Donna’s annual dance recital in Lynn, MA. His goal in life was to make anyone and everyone laugh, whether they were strangers or not. Bill was extremely proud of his military service in the Navy, and was always wearing his Navy Veteran hat and jacket.
Bill is survived by his loving daughter Brenda (Beaupre) Nadeau and her husband Gerry Nadeau of Georgetown, MA; his grandson David Nadeau and great-grandchildren Toby, Amberlie and Jackson; his grandson Jeremy Nadeau; his granddaughter Samantha (Nadeau) Kennedy and her husband Ryan Kennedy; and his great-grandchildren Violet Rose and Wyatt Cooper. He is also survived by his son-in-law Robert Boucher of Farmington, NH; his granddaughter Nina (Boucher) Katkin and her husband Marcus Katkin; his great-grandchildren Averie Grace and Piper Ann; his grandson Adam Boucher and his fiancé Marina Vestal; and his granddaughter Brianna Boucher. He is also survived by William E. Beaupre Jr. and Brian Beaupre as well as many extended family members and friends.
Bill is predeceased by his beloved daughter, Sharon; his parents George and Beryl Beaupre; his brothers George, John, and Richard Beaupre; and his sister Beryl (Beaupre) Rogers.
Arrangements: Friends and family are invited to call at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St., Lynn on Wednesday, August 4th from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. His Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery, Georgetown, MA.
