Born on July 6, 1936, Bill was the youngest child of the late William and Helen (Bradley) Phelan and the last surviving sibling of Mary Phelan, Alice Phelan, Ellen O’Neill, Imelda McLaughlin, and John Phelan. Bill played baseball at Christopher Columbus High School. He graduated from Northeastern University and worked as a court officer. He was a proud Army veteran who served in Korea. He loved the Red Sox and the Patriots, and had season tickets at times to both teams. He is survived by his nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to attend Bill’s visitation on Friday, October 8, 2021 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. His funeral mass will follow at 12:00 pm at St. Pius V Church, Lynn. Masks are required at the Funeral Home and in the church. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Lynn.
