

Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Sarah Smith. Winnie was a resident of Swampscott for over 50 years before moving to her daughter, Jane’s Guilford, CT residence where she was lovingly cared for until her passing.
Winnie was a 1944 graduate of St. Mary’s Girls High School, attended Burdett Business School and worked at the General Electric Company in Lynn for 10 years before starting her family.
She was a devout daily communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in Swampscott and an active member of St. John’s Sodality. Winnie also worked at the Swampscott Public Library and Swampscott School System. In her later years, Winnie volunteered for several organizations.
She enjoyed long walks along the beach with her husband Ted, was an avid bowler and thoroughly enjoyed her seven grandchildren and attended all of their school and athletic events. She loved living in the sea-side town of Swampscott. Winnie was rich in friends and one of her greatest joys was giving to others.
Winnie is survived by her son Teddy Patrikas of Danvers, daughter Jane Rosadini and husband Bill of Guilford, CT and son Dana Patrikas and wife Zoe of Danvers. She also leaves seven wonderful grandchildren, TJ and Sean Patrikas, Nathan, Sarah and Katherine Rosadini, and Maggie and John Patrikas. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her grandson William J. Rosadini, her brother John Smith and sister-in-law Alice, and sister Peggy Gallagher and brother-in-law Frankie, and nephew/godson Joseph P. Gallagher.
Winnie’s Funeral will be held from the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Thursday at 10:30AM followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint John the Evangelist Church, Swampscott at 11:30AM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Swampscott Cemetery. Visiting Hours Wednesday 4-8PM. Gifts in her memory may be sent to the Discalced Carmelite Nuns of Danvers, 15 Mt. Carmel Rd. Danvers, MA 01923.
