Aleksandr Berezyuk, the firstborn of Vladimir and Vera Berezyuk, was born on Monday, January 26, 1970, in Yalta, Ukraine. Shortly after his birth, the family moved to Rokytne, Ukraine, where Aleks lived until the age of eighteen.
He spent most of his life in the United States, where he left a lasting impact on everyone he met. A man of many talents, Aleks was known for his kind and generous nature. He was loved by all — including animals and children — and was affectionately called “Uncle Sasha” by many.
Adventure was his middle name. He loved taking weekend trips and had a deep passion for travel. His personality was truly one of a kind — compassionate, forgiving, and full of love. He had a heart of gold.
Though life brought Aleks many hardships and trials, he never once complained. In his final years, he
experienced a profound spiritual transformation and drew closer to God. He found comfort in hymns,
especially “Heaven Awaits Us,” which he listened to often in the days leading up to his passing. During this
time, nothing was more important to him than his faith.
Aleks passed away peacefully on Friday, May 23, 2025. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered in our hearts. He is survived by his partner, Beverly Becenti; his mother, Vera Berezyuk; and his siblings: Elena, Sergey, Tony, Stan, Natasha, David, and Pavel.
