

Alice was born on January 31, 1937 in Providence, Rhode Island to Elzear and Flora Dumais. She was raised and educated in Providence where in 1953, she met William (Bill) Patterson, a Wisconsin native serving in the navy and stationed at nearby Quonset Point. On April 7, 1956, they were married, and remained so for over 66 years until her death.
Early in their marriage, they relocated to Southern California where she became a mother to her three children, and embarked on what would become a successful career in the banking industry. After retirement, she and Bill again relocated, heading north to Washington state, where she spent her final years.
Alice was a very active lady who counted her family, music, and nature among her greatest passions. Over the years her many interests and hobbies included travel, golf, and ping-pong. She was known for being small in stature, but a giant of inner strength and determination. She had a playful spirit, and an unwavering devotion to her precious husband. Her impact on the lives she touched is immeasurable, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her beloved husband, Bill, two daughters, Lee Ann (Mike) Obright, and Diane Mora, son, Russ (Amy) Patterson, brother, Raymond Dumais, sister, Pauline Frazer, five grandchildren, David (Erin) Obright, William (Sharlena) Mora, Megan Obright, Michelle Mora, and Shannon (Arturo) Avalos, and eight great-grandchildren, Aoife, Maya, Tormod, Ezra, Billy, AJ, Otis, and Tommy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Conrad Dumais and Robert Dumais, sisters Florence Dessaint and Cecile Dumais, and her grandson, Bryan Mora.
A funeral service will be held from 1:00-2:00PM, July 11, 2022 at Purdy and Walters at Floral Hills, 409 Filbert Rd, Lynnwood, Washington 98036. A brief graveside service and reception will follow.
