Arthur was born in Fargo, ND to the late Arthur and Myrtle Fiedler. Arthur was employed for 43 years by the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad and its predecessor corporations as a locomotive engineer (Auburn WA), road foreman of engines (Fargo, ND), manager of the Engineer Training School (St. Paul, MN) and Superintendent of the Airbrake Department (Overland Park, KS). Arthur was an army veteran, member of the Northern Pacific Railroad Historical Society and Methodist Church. Arthur loved fishing, camping and hiking and was active in the Boy Scouts helping all three sons become Eagle Scouts. After retirement in 1988, Arthur enjoyed hobbies, traveling, the computer/Internet and being with his family. Survivors include Kathleen, his wife of 61 years, sons Charles Fiedler, Puyallup, WA, Bradley Fiedler, Seattle, WA, Mark Fiedler, Beaverton, OR two grandchildren and brother Richard Fiedler. Interment at Floral Hills Cemetery, Lynwood, WA.
